Nivim house by Turiya

Nivim is an expansive country house in Goa meant to rediscover the quiet luxury found in nature. Perched on a lush slope amongst tropical trees, Nivim is a ‘Gold’ certified green building by the Indian Green Building Council, the first in Goa. 

Nivim was published as the 'House of the Day' in the Wall Street Journal in 2013 in recognition of its global contemporary design that features the best of indoor-outdoor living. The architecture of the house maximizes the use of natural materials. The large openings allow a seamless connection with nature, while maximizing daylight and natural ventilation in all indoor spaces. Fourteen existing trees found on the property have been carefully incorporated in the design of the house. 

The project was first project by Turiya (now called Grounded) in collaboration with Studio R/T (now called Studio15,73)
